Alternative Method for Opening the TBR 800 Release

A simple workaround for opening the TBR 800 Release when the original lug is missing.

This tutorial demonstrates an alternative way to open the TBR 800 Release when the original lug is missing.

Steps:

  1. Remove the key pin using a suitable tool.
  2. Find an object that fits into the large hole at the bottom of the receiver, where the lug normally sits.
  3. Place the object on a stable surface, such as a table, and position the receiver over it.
  4. Hold the receiver housing and press down so the object pushes against the release screw inside. This will push the internal assembly out of the housing.

Note: The original lug is used in the video, but it is not required. Any suitable object that fits into the hole and can press against the release screw can be used instead.
